Production Graphic Artist – Job Description
Position Summary
The Production Graphic Artist is responsible for creating and maintaining the labeling, packaging, and all production-friendly artwork related to the production of the garment (under various assigned brands), ensuring that information is accurate, consistent and production-ready. Additionally, with the guidance of the head designer, the Production Graphic Artist is responsible for generating the BOMs, indicating all trims and accessories pertaining to a style. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role ensures production documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain production artwork for assigned brands.
- Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Prepare production-ready layouts for AOPs, screen prints, trims, accessories, labels, packaging.
- Review and approve layout submissions from suppliers.
- Manage labeling requirements, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards.
- Ensure all production files comply with customer, factory, and company standards.
- Manage artwork revisions and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Coordinate updates with relevant teams throughout product development.
- Upload and maintain current production files in the appropriate systems.
- Support improvements to production processes and documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in apparel production artwork or production graphics.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, trims, labeling, and packaging.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of 3D software for the fashion industry a plus.
